Books under $5 are sold on my word: the grade is my honest read of this copy, and anything I spot is written in. If a photo would make the difference, ask and I will do what I can. Story
The League fly to Russia in order to rescue the original League members and are attacked by Soviet airplanes before Zatanna and J'onn J'onnz use their powers to defeat them. In the Soviet camp, the original Maestro and another dissident help the three heroes to escape. They are successful in getting outside the camp walls but are then confronted by the soldiers and the camp commander. Aquaman and the League arrive and as the other heroes look on, paralysed by Maestro's music, the newer heroes try to rescue them. Maestro plays his keyboard and conjurs images that attack the League and only Anton Allegro, the original Maestro who was deafened by Green Arrow in their first encounter, can get close enough to smash the instrument, dissolving the images. The camp commander shoots Allegro, prompting Gypsy to confront him with a psychic image that renders him senseless.
