Data policy
This page covers the specific requests some state laws give you, and how to make one.
Do not sell my personal information
Your personal information is not sold, and it is not shared for cross-context advertising. There is no advertising network on this site and no data broker relationship to opt out of.
If you would like that confirmed in writing, email support@grabmyslabs.com with the subject line Do Not Sell My Personal Information, or send the same thing through the contact form, and I'll confirm within 30 days.
The requests you can make
- Know what personal information is held about you.
- Access a copy of it.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it, subject to records I'm legally required to keep.
- Opt out of any sale or sharing, which as above does not happen here.
How to make one
Email support@grabmyslabs.com from the address on your account, saying which request you are making. Signed in, the contact form does the same job and does it better: it takes the address from your session rather than from something typed, so there is nothing for me to second-guess. Using the account address is how I confirm it is you, which matters: handing someone else's order history to the wrong person is its own kind of breach.
Answered within 30 days. If a request is refused, you'll be told which one and why.
What is kept, and for how long
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Account details are kept until you ask for deletion.
Cart data clears itself, with one exception for members. When a hold lapses the book goes back on sale and leaves your cart. If you were not signed in, the cart itself is deleted once it is empty and unused, so nothing is kept about a browsing session that never became an order. If you were signed in, I keep a note on your account of which books you let go, the price at the time, and when, so I can see what nearly sold. You will only hear about those books again if you agreed to marketing email, and the note is deleted with your account.
Exercising these rights costs nothing
There is no charge for a request and no penalty for making one. Prices and service do not change because you asked.
