Books under $5 are sold on my word: the grade is my honest read of this copy, and anything I spot is written in. If a photo would make the difference, ask and I will do what I can. Story
While Green Arrow, Superman and Green Lantern meet out of costume for a few drinks in Star City, Black Canary goes to the aid of a mugging victim only to find he is more than capable of defending himself. When he goes to far and threatens the lives of the muggers, she steps in only to find him a better fighter than her and immune to her canary cry. Superman hears her cry and the three heroes go to her rescue, though when he catches him, Superman is caught off guard and punched into the sky. By the time he recovers and Arrow and Lantern arrive, the man has vanished. Finding some notes covered in mathematical equations, the League meet and the satellite to try and figure them out, eventually working out the identity of the man who attacked them. Calling himself Paragon, the villain is waiting for them and reveals that he has the powers of anyone nearby but amplified. With this knowledge, the League attack, keeping their invulnerable members further afield and allowing team work to overcome his brute strength.
