Stock photoThis is a stock scan of the issue, so it shows what the comic looks like rather than this exact copy. Books under $5 are sold on my word: the grade is my honest read of this copy, and anything I spot is written in. If a photo would make the difference, ask and I will do what I can. Story
Aboard the Justice League satellite, Reena tells the League of how she came to be: a company, Repli-Tech, that specialised in genetic manipulation faced bankruptcy when its board became too greedy and, following Rex Rogan, the leader of the board, submitted themselves to genetic experiments turning them into man-beasts. Not only were the beasts responsible for crimes and the attacks upon the League but Rex was also behind the construction of an arena where he pitted normal people against the beasts for the amusement of others. Their meeting is interrupted by news of Hawkman's injury in Egypt and Hawkgirl and Wonder Woman fly to rescue him. At the hospital, however, they are attacked by one of Rex's beasts and captured. Rex himself contacts the League's satellite demanding the return of Reena and the League's cooperation in his plans.
